Our systems can be operated from a Windows, Linux, SUN or MAC computer without the need for any additional software e.g. drivers or utilities.

Scalar systems are controlled via your web-browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. There's no need for you to write any software or install any drivers, utilities or applications. Simply connect the system to your computer and access it across your network. The operating software is built into the acquisition system.

Having a networked data acquisition system has additional advantages. The system can be accessed by any computer attached to the network. This makes it simple to share and transfer data. As customers come from an extremely broad range of industries, and have varied requirements, flexibility in data storage is important. You can specify from a variety of standard file formats in which to store acquired data, selecting the one that best suits your data processing requirements.

Our systems are Linux based and if you really want to write your own software, Scalar acquisition systems can be supplied to customers with full source code under GPL, including an open source Linux driver, giving assurance of full control of system configuration.
